The MAD Blog Awards

What happens when you fill a room with 100 parent bloggers, PR and free wine? You have a great time and that’s exactly what I had when I attended the MAD Blog Awards last month.

The Mum and Dad blog awards which is now in its second year, celebrates excellence in blogging and I was very honoured to be shortlisted for a second time.

There were 15 categories, 50,000 nominations and votes and 75 finalists, who say blogging is on its way out!! The awards were sponsored by Parent Dish and Talk Talk who helped put on an amazing evening and made us all feel special.

My highlights of the evening were:

  • The red carpet
  • X Factor style karaoke booth
  • Meeting old and new friends
  • Sandy Calico announcing the New Blogger of the Year award Mammy Woo as “Mammy Woooooooo”
  • The acceptance video that all the bloggers in the Innovative category won
  • Winning Blog Post of the Year
  • It was a night void of big egos and full of friendship and fun. Oh and glamour!

    Congratulations to all the winners!
